    From Riffs to the Stage: Building a High School Rock Band Program

    In this article, I explore how I took an idea of a rock band class and turned it into a fully functioning modern band classroom. This article details tips and advice on starting a program like mine, especially when concerned with scheduling and implementing technology. This was included in the June Edition of Teaching Music Magazine, an online publication sponsored by the National Association for Music Education.

    The Scream Notation System

    The Scream Notation System is a device I created in order to more accurately analyze the harsh vocals employed in rock and metal music. I wrote this thesis in pursuit of my Master's Degree in Music Theory and Composition. As part of the research I also wrote and recorded a piece entitled “Demonstration” featuring the screams of Hickman Plaissance and myself, Matt Delcambre.
